Naxos Port sits on the largest of the Cyclades, with 50 superyacht berths in the harbour beneath the iconic Portara — the marble doorway of an unfinished 6th-century BC temple of Apollo standing on the islet at the harbour entrance. Naxos is the most agriculturally productive of the Cyclades, with a fertile inland plain that produces a pantry the smaller drier islands cannot match.
The Naxian pantry is the most diverse in the Cyclades. Graviera Naxou PDO — one of Greece's most highly regarded hard cheeses, made from cow's milk on Naxos under traditional methods. Naxos potatoes — protected geographically (PGI), with a distinctive earthy character, used in salads and preparations across Greece. Citron of Naxos — kitron, a citrus liqueur made from the leaves of the citron tree, an island specialty since the 19th century. Naxos beef from the inland plain (Greek beef is rare). Olive oil from the island's groves, with terraced cultivation in the Tragea mountain valleys. Cycladic specialties: tomatokeftedes, fava, capers. Fresh fish from Naxos boats. Specialty providers in Naxos handle Cycladic-grade catering at scale.
Yachting season runs May through October. Naxos suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to yachts anchored at the small Cycladic islands east of Naxos (Koufonisia, Schinoussa, Iraklia, Donousa) which depend on Naxos for supply.
