Moll Vell sits inside the historic harbour of Palma de Mallorca, directly below the Cathedral of Santa Maria and within easy walking distance of the old town, La Lonja and the Mercat de l'Olivar. With 90 superyacht berths immediately in front of the medieval city, it shares the Palma waterfront with the larger commercial port and the STP refit zone — making it one of the most operationally useful marinas in the western Mediterranean for yachts under 75m. Mallorcan cuisine is its own pantry. Sobrasada (slow-cured pork paste, often with paprika and protected by PGI), ensaïmada (the spiral pastry that defines the island), Mahón cheese from neighbouring Menorca, pa amb oli with island olive oils from the Tramuntana valleys, suckling pig, lamb from Sa Pobla and Costitx. The Mercat de l'Olivar (covered, daily except Sunday) and Mercat de Santa Catalina handle most fresh sourcing — Mediterranean fish from the Palma auction, market vegetables from Sa Pobla, citrus from Sóller. Wine sourcing leans local: Binissalem DO and Pla i Llevant for indigenous Manto Negro, Callet and Prensal Blanc, supplemented by Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Priorat. Yachting season runs effectively April through October, with sharp peaks during the Palma Superyacht Show in late April, the regatta season in July and August, and shoulder demand from the refit fleet year-round. Local suppliers handle same-day delivery on fresh items ordered before 10h00 and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning.
