V&A Waterfront Marina sits in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in central Cape Town, with 180 berths in the principal South African superyacht hub. The marina handles vessels up to 95 metres and serves as the natural Atlantic-Indian Ocean crossing base — the gateway port for superyachts moving between the Caribbean / European seasons and the Indian Ocean / Seychelles / Maldives circuit, with the broader V&A Waterfront precinct (restaurants, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island ferry terminal) immediately adjacent and Table Mountain rising directly behind the marina.
The Cape pantry is uniquely South African. Cape Malay cuisine — the iconic creole tradition combining Malay, Indian and African influences with Cape Town heritage (bobotie, bredie, sosaties, koeksisters), with halal infrastructure depth among the most developed in Africa. South African wines at source: Stellenbosch (Pinotage the indigenous Cape grape plus Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blends, with Kanonkop, Meerlust, Rust en Vrede, Tokara setting the appellation standard), Franschhoek (Méthode Cap Classique sparkling, Boschendal and Anthonij Rupert), Constantia (the historic 1685 wine region with Vin de Constance from Klein Constantia — Napoleon's favourite, plus Constantia Glen and Constantia Uitsig), Hemel-en-Aarde (Hamilton Russell cool-climate Pinot Noir among Africa's finest). South African seafood: snoek (the Cape signature fish, peak May-October), Cape rock lobster (Jasus lalandii, regulated November-April), yellowtail kingfish, kabeljou (kob), abalone (perlemoen, heavily regulated). Karoo lamb (the prized free-range South African lamb from the semi-arid Karoo plateau). Springbok (the iconic Cape game antelope, biltong and carpaccio). Wagyu South Africa via the Drakenstein and Wagyu SA premium programmes. Kosher infrastructure via the established Cape Town Jewish community. International specialty sourcing via Cape Town International Airport (20 km east).
Yachting season runs October through April (Southern Hemisphere spring through autumn). Sharp peaks during December-February (Southern Hemisphere summer holidays). V&A Waterfront Marina suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to yachts at anchor in Table Bay and onward refit logistics via the adjacent Royal Cape Yacht Club refit yard.
