Super Yacht Eats
Trust & Safety

How we keep the directory honest.

Crews trust us to surface real suppliers. Suppliers trust us to send them real briefs. Here's how we earn both sides.

Every supplier is vetted

Before a supplier appears on Super Yacht Eats, our team reviews their application: business registration, references, the ports they claim to deliver to, the categories they claim expertise in. We reject applications that don't check out. We remove businesses that don't deliver on their promises.

Every supplier is on a paid plan

A supplier can only be visible publicly if they hold an active subscription. No scraped listings, no inherited profiles from a directory we copied. If you see a business on Super Yacht Eats, that business signed up, paid, and committed to being responsive.

Reviews are post-transaction only

Only crews who actually sent and received a quote from a supplier can leave a review. We surface review counts and average ratings on every supplier card so you can weigh new listings against established ones.

No commission, no escrow, no payment intermediation

When you contract a supplier, you contract them directly. Your invoice is their invoice. We never sit between you and your supplier's payment. This means we have no incentive to push one order over another, and you keep the relationship that matters.

Disputes are between you and the supplier — with our help when asked

If something goes wrong with an order, contact your supplier first. If you can't resolve it, we'll mediate: review your messages, check the supplier's history, and help find a fair outcome. Repeated complaints lead to suspension. We err on the side of removing bad actors.

Your data stays yours

We store the minimum needed to operate the directory. Payment data lives at Stripe — we never see card numbers. RFQ messages are stored encrypted at rest. You can export or delete your account at any time. RGPD-compliant by design.

Security in plain language

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). Every database access is audited. Passwords are hashed (we recommend magic links anyway). Two-factor authentication is on the roadmap. We follow standard SaaS security practices and we'll keep this page updated as our posture matures.
