Les Marines de Cogolin sit at the head of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, with 60 superyacht berths in a planned canal-marina development inland from the village of Cogolin. The marina is the largest in the gulf after Saint-Tropez itself, with the rare distinction of inland canal-side berthing that gives villa-style waterfront access. Cogolin village is the historic centre of French briarwood pipe production (Pipe de Cogolin) and inland from the marina.
The pantry is Provençal. Côtes de Provence rosé from the surrounding appellation (the Cogolin and La Croix-Valmer hills are at the production centre), Bandol AOC reds, AOP Var olive oils. Provençal specialties: tapenade, anchoïade, daube, ratatouille, panisses. Saint-Tropez Place des Lices market (15 minutes by tender). Fresh fish from Saint-Laurent-du-Var auction. Var truffles in season. The Maures massif inland offers wild boar, chestnuts, mountain honey. Specialty providers in Cogolin handle full villa-grade catering.
Yachting season runs May through September with sharp peaks late July and August around the Pampelonne and Saint-Tropez fleet. Cogolin suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning.
