Port de Menton-Garavan sits on the east side of Menton, with 35 superyacht berths in the modern marina basin against the Italian border. Larger and better-equipped than the Vieux Port, Garavan is the principal Menton yachting hub and the closest French marina to Italy — Ventimiglia is five minutes east by road, the Cala del Forte marina (Italian-side megayacht overflow) ten minutes further.
The pantry combines the Citron de Menton IGP economy with the wider eastern Riviera Italian crossover. Citron de Menton IGP — the thicker-rind, more aromatic lemon used by patisseries worldwide. AOP Nice olive oil from the Roya and Bevera valleys behind the town. Bellet AOC wines from the hills above Nice (Folle Noire reds, Rolle whites). Niçois socca, pissaladière, daube, stockfish à la niçoise. Italian crossover from Ventimiglia: Rossese di Dolceacqua reds, Taggiasca olive oil, fresh produce. Fresh fish from the Menton boats and the larger Saint-Laurent-du-Var auction. Mediterranean fish: rouget, daurade, loup de mer, sardines, anchois.
Yachting season runs April through October with sharp peaks during Monaco F1 (May), Monaco Yacht Show (September) and August summer fleet. Garavan suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with routine cross-border Ventimiglia and direct Monaco deliveries.
