Port de Saint-Florent sits on the western side of Cap Corse, with 50 superyacht berths in the natural Gulf of Saint-Florent — protected on three sides by mountains and entirely open to the north Tyrrhenian. The village is at the heart of the Patrimonio wine appellation (the limestone hills behind the port produce Corsica's most prestigious wines) and the Désert des Agriates, the wild coastal massif of the north-west, lies immediately west.
The pantry is built around Patrimonio AOC at source. Patrimonio AOC reds (Niellucciu, full-bodied and structured, regarded as Corsica's reference red) and Patrimonio AOC whites (Vermentinu, mineral and complex). The bodegas are within ten minutes of the port and offer direct trade. AOP Corsican charcuterie (coppa, lonzu, prisuttu, panzetta), brocciu AOP, AOP maquis honey from the Désert des Agriates beekeepers. Olive oil from the Balagne AOC (30 km west). Fresh fish from Saint-Florent boats and the Bastia auction (30 minutes east). Désert des Agriates produces wild herbs and small-scale lamb at exceptional quality.
Yachting season runs May through September with peaks summer. Saint-Florent suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to the Désert des Agriates anchorages (Plage du Loto, Saleccia, Trave).
