Port de Saint-Raphaël sits at the western end of the Esterel coast, with 55 superyacht berths in the historic port beneath the Notre-Dame de la Victoire church. The town faces the bay of Fréjus and forms one half of the Saint-Raphaël / Fréjus twin-resort that has anchored the central Var coast since the 19th century — fashionable summer destination since the Belle Époque, less polished and less expensive than Cannes, twenty minutes east. The pantry is Provençal. Côtes de Provence rosé from the Var coast (the appellation's centre is immediately north of Saint-Raphaël), Bandol AOC reds, AOP Nice olive oil. Provençal specialties: tapenade, anchoïade, daube provençale, pieds et paquets. Fresh fish from local Saint-Raphaël boats and the Saint-Laurent-du-Var auction. Saint-Raphaël has a long-established Provençal market tradition — daily mornings on Place Victor-Hugo — that supplies suppliers and restaurants. Esterel maquis honey from the red cliffs immediately east. Yachting season runs April through October with peaks during Cannes Festival (May) and August. Saint-Raphaël suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to yachts anchored along the Esterel.
