Port du Frioul sits in the Frioul archipelago off Marseille, with 50 superyacht berths in the sheltered Port du Frioul marina between the islands of Pomègues and Ratonneau. The archipelago lies four kilometres off the Marseille coast — visible from the Vieux-Port — and combines a quiet small-island feel with full Marseille mainland sourcing via daily ferry (20-minute crossing).
The pantry is Marseillais. Bouillabaisse marseillaise — the city's iconic fish stew, made with rouget, rascasse, congre, saint-pierre, with rouille and toasted bread — is the headline specialty. Cassis AOC whites, Bandol AOC reds, AOP Var and Provence olive oils. Provençal-Marseillais specialties: panisses, soupe au pistou, brandade de morue, anchois de Marseille, navettes (the orange-blossom biscuit), pieds-paquets, tapenade, anchoïade, aïoli. Fresh fish from the Marseille auction (the principal Provence wholesale fish market) and the small-boat fishermen of Saumaty. Specialty providers handle the full Marseille sourcing depth at scale, with HACCP-grade cold chain.
Yachting season runs April through October with peaks summer. Frioul suppliers (and Marseille-based suppliers serving Frioul) handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with daily ferry-supported delivery. The Calanques National Park is immediately adjacent and tender-accessible.
