Cavtat Marina sits in the natural bay of Cavtat on the southern Croatian Adriatic, 18 km south of Dubrovnik. Cavtat is the southernmost yacht hub of the Croatian Adriatic before the Montenegrin border (10 km south), with 90 berths in the historic harbour beneath the Renaissance old town. The town was founded as Epidaurum by Greek colonists in the 6th century BC — destroyed by Slavic raiders in 614 AD, with the surviving population founding Ragusa (modern Dubrovnik) immediately north — and was reborn in the Middle Ages as the Renaissance settlement of Cavtat. The iconic Mausoleum of the Račić Family by Ivan Meštrović (1922) sits on the Cavtat hilltop.
The Cavtat pantry is southern Dalmatian. Konavle olive oil — the local extra virgin from the Konavle valley immediately south (one of the most preserved Dalmatian olive-growing regions). Pelješac Plavac Mali (Postup, Dingač at source — the peninsula is 30 km west, the wines arrive same-day from the Pelješac cooperatives). Mali Ston Bay oysters from the Mali Ston bay (the iconic Ostrea edulis, also same-day from the historic oyster beds 50 km north-west). Dalmatian pršut (Konavle-style — the Konavle valley has its own pršut tradition). Adriatic seafood from Cavtat fishing fleet. Pošip Korčula whites. International specialty sourcing via Dubrovnik International Airport (immediately north, 3 km — the airport is technically at Čilipi, the village adjacent to Cavtat).
Yachting season runs April through October. Cavtat Marina suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with the most direct Montenegro cross-border sourcing for charters heading south.
